On December 5th, the inaugural meeting of the Shenzhen Construction Robotics Alliance was successfully held at the Shenzhen-Hong Kong International Science Park. Co-initiated by over 30 enterprises and institutions including the Shenzhen Construction Technology Promotion Center, China Construction Third Engineering Bureau Group (Shenzhen) Co., Ltd., the Engineering Management Center of Shenzhen Construction Works Bureau, the School of Computer Science and Technology of Harbin Institute of Technology (Shenzhen), and Fontan Robotics, the alliance aggregates the resource advantages of Shenzhen’s robotics, artificial intelligence, and construction sectors, covering engineering construction units, research institutes, institutions of higher learning, and nearly 20 robotics enterprises.
Centering on the five core pillars of "policy and standard implementation, technological innovation breakthroughs, application scenario promotion, market and brand co-construction, and industrial ecosystem development", the alliance leverages Shenzhen’s solid construction industry foundation and favorable policy environment to build a six-in-one collaborative platform integrating government, industry, academia, research, application, and finance. It aims to advance Shenzhen into a national highland for the innovative development of construction robotics characterized by leading-edge technologies, wide-ranging applications, and a well-established ecosystem.
As one of the founding members of the alliance, Fongtam Robotics specializes in the R&D and application of construction robotics. Its product portfolio includes indoor coating construction robots (putty and latex paint spraying robots, putty scraping and sanding robots), surveying robots, and safety inspection robots, among others. The flagship indoor coating construction robots boast functions such as putty spraying, scraping, sanding, dust collection, and latex paint spraying, covering the entire processes and scenarios of indoor coating projects. These robots have been successfully deployed in projects including the Zhongyifeng Yangtze River Delta International R&D Community, the Shanghai Construction Group Zhangjiang Science Gate Project, the Beijing Construction Engineering Group Fangshan Shantytown Renovation Project, the China State Construction Eighth Engineering Division Jiuxing City Project, and public housing projects in Singapore.
With its admission to the Shenzhen Construction Robotics Alliance, Fontan Robotics will collaborate closely with all member units, leveraging its technological strengths, project experience, and business layout to deliver tangible results. It will participate in industry-wide technological research, share practical project experience, and take concrete actions to advance the technological innovation and scenario-based application of construction robotics, contributing to the high-quality development of the construction robotics industry.
